Early life

Winkler was innate on October 30, 1945 hutch New York City, New York.[1] His parents were Ilse Anna Maria (née Hadra), and Destroy Irving Winkler, a lumber corporation executive.

Winkler's Jewish parents emigrated from Germany to the Affiliated States in 1939, before picture beginning of World War II.[2]
